Every person on this page travelled from the UK, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland or beyond to have dental work done in Tirana. What they say here is what they told us, and what they wrote on Google. We have not edited the stories that were not perfect. Those tell you more than the perfect ones do.

“My dentist in Leeds quoted me ÂŁ31,500 for All-on-4 on both arches. I sat in the car afterwards and cried because I knew I could not afford it.”
A friend from my yoga class had been to Tirana the year before for implants. She showed me her teeth and told me to contact Andent. I spent two months reading reviews, joining a dental tourism forum, and asking questions before I sent my first message. I sent them my panoramic X-ray on a Tuesday evening and had a detailed treatment plan on Wednesday afternoon. Not a price list. An actual plan that said which implants, why, and what I would have at the end.
I went in October with my daughter. The surgery itself was on day two. I will not pretend it was pleasant but the team kept checking on me throughout and I was not in pain, just aware of what was happening. By day four I had fixed teeth for the first time in years. My daughter took a photo of me eating toast on day five and I have it as my phone wallpaper.
Total cost including everything: flights for both of us, patient stay coordination, meals, and both arches of All-on-4 with with premium global implants came to under ÂŁ8,200. My Leeds dentist reviewed the work at my next check-up and said she could not fault it.
“I am an engineer. I verify everything. I went to Tirana prepared to find a reason to turn around and go home.”
Three implants in Hamburg would have cost me between âŹ6,200 and âŹ8,400 depending on which clinic I used. I sent my X-ray to four different clinics in Albania before choosing Andent. They were the only ones who answered my technical questions directly, including: what is the exact model of the implant you will use, can I see the packaging before surgery, and what are the torque specifications for placement?
When I arrived, the surgeon showed me the MegaGen implant packaging with the batch number before opening it. This sounds like a small thing but it is exactly the kind of detail that separates a clinic that uses what it says it uses from one that makes that decision day by day based on what is in stock. The surgery was clean and efficient. Three implants in under two hours.
My implantologist in Hamburg saw me eight weeks after I returned and said the osseointegration looked excellent on the X-ray. He asked me for the clinic name. I gave it to him.
“The technician came into the room to look at my teeth before touching the crown. I had never had that happen at any dentist I had ever visited.”
I needed six crowns across my upper front teeth. In Dublin the quotes ranged from âŹ5,800 to âŹ8,100 depending on the material and the clinic. A colleague recommended Andent and I am glad she did. What struck me most was not the price. It was the shade matching process. At every clinic in Dublin, the dentist holds up a shade guide for thirty seconds and makes a decision. At Andent, the dental technician came into the treatment room, looked at my adjacent teeth in natural light from the window, and took his own notes before going back to the laboratory. The crowns matched perfectly when they came back 48 hours later.
Six crowns, five days, and I was back in Dublin by Saturday evening. My colleagues noticed immediately but could not figure out why I looked different. That is the reaction you want.
“I am giving four stars because there was one thing I wish had been communicated better. Everything else was excellent.”
I had four dental crowns done at Andent Clinic. The crowns themselves are perfect, the shade is right, the bite is comfortable, and the fit has been confirmed by my dentist in Amsterdam. The reason for four stars instead of five is that I was not told in enough detail about the cold sensitivity I would experience in the two weeks after the preparations. It was not severe but it was worrying because I did not know it was normal.
When I messaged the clinic about it, the response was immediate and thorough. They explained exactly why it happens, what to expect, and when to be concerned. It resolved completely by week three. My feedback to any future patient is: ask the clinical team in advance about post-preparation sensitivity so you know what is normal. And my feedback to the clinic is that they should include this in the pre-departure briefing automatically. They were receptive to the feedback when I shared it.
Would I go back? Yes, without hesitation. The quality of the work and the aftercare response were both excellent.

across Europe
“One missing molar replaced with a MegaGen implant. I paid ÂŁ480 for the complete treatment. In Manchester I had been quoted ÂŁ2,400. I stayed six nights, explored a genuinely interesting city, and came home with a tooth. My dentist at home was impressed with the work.”
“I wore a denture for eleven years. Eleven years of glue and embarrassment and declining dinner invitations. I left Tirana with fixed teeth on day four of my visit. The emotional impact of that is not something I can adequately describe in a review. The clinical quality is excellent. The price is fair. But none of that captures what it feels like to smile without thinking about it.”
“Eight crowns done in five days. In Vienna the same work would have cost me between âŹ9,000 and âŹ12,000. I paid âŹ1,680. The laboratory is inside the clinic which is the only reason the timeline was possible. My Austrian dentist verified the fit at my next check-up and made no comments except to ask where the work was done.”
“The implants are excellent and the savings were significant. My experience was slightly complicated by a delayed healing response on one side that required an extra follow-up via WhatsApp. The clinic responded quickly and the advice was sound. Everything resolved well. The quality of the aftercare communication once I was home was actually better than the in-clinic experience.”
“Six veneers for âŹ960 compared to âŹ6,000 in Lyon. I was concerned about the translucency matching my natural teeth. The technician sat with me for 20 minutes discussing exactly what I wanted before fabricating anything. The result was beyond what I had hoped for. My Lyon dentist asked me who had done the preparation because the margins were very clean.”
“I needed work on six teeth in total. In Edinburgh the combined quote was ÂŁ11,800. At Andent the same treatment cost just over âŹ2,200. Seven nights in Tirana, transfers and patient stay coordination included in their package. The scheduling was efficient â preparation days and surgery days were interleaved so I was never waiting around. Back at work on Monday.”
“My bone density required All-on-6 on the upper arch. The 3D scan on arrival confirmed the plan sent before I travelled. Six premium dental implants placed in a single surgical session. I left with a fixed provisional on day two. The definitive prosthesis was fitted on day seven. Total cost including the patient stay coordination and flights from Munich was under âŹ6,500.”
“Three crowns on endodontically treated teeth. In London I would have paid ÂŁ2,700 to ÂŁ4,200 depending on the material. I paid âŹ580 for the same work with the crown at Andent. I was nervous about travelling for dental work but the pre-trip planning process made it feel like going to any well-organised medical appointment. The coordinator answered every question within a few hours.”
“Switzerland has the highest dental prices in Europe. My treatment plan for an All-on-4 lower arch plus three crowns on the upper was quoted at CHF 28,000. At Andent it cost me CHF 5,800 in total including the trip. The coordinator spoke French which removed any language concern from the beginning. The clinical outcome has been confirmed by my Geneva dentist.”
Three patients.
Three different journeys.
From dentures for six years
to eating a steak on day seven
James spent six years wearing a full upper and lower denture after a series of extractions in his early fifties. He had been quoted between ÂŁ28,000 and ÂŁ38,000 by four different clinics in Belfast and Dublin for All-on-4, and had concluded it was simply not going to happen.
His son found Andent Clinic while researching options and sent a WhatsApp message on his father’s behalf. The response came within three hours. A panoramic X-ray was sent the following day and the treatment plan arrived the morning after that: All-on-4 on both arches using premium dental implants, âŹ6,600 total.
James describes the surgical day as the most nervous he has ever been in a medical setting, including a knee replacement in 2019. “The team were aware of it. They talked me through every step before doing it. There was not a moment where something happened that I had not been told about in advance.”
The provisional fixed prosthesis was placed the day after surgery. Day four he had lunch at a Tirana restaurant. Day seven was a steak. “I had not eaten a steak in six years. I sat there and cried into it. The waiter probably thought something was wrong.”
“My Belfast dentist saw me three months after I returned. She looked at the X-rays for a long time and then said: whoever placed these knew what they were doing. That was enough for me.”
A full smile restoration done
in five days, not five months
Yvonne had tetracycline staining across all ten upper teeth that no bleaching treatment had been able to correct. Swiss dentists quoted a full upper crown restoration at between CHF 18,500 and CHF 22,000, with a treatment timeline of four to five months due to external laboratory turnaround times.
The same result at Andent Clinic took five working days and cost âŹ2,800. The difference in timeline was entirely because of the in-house laboratory. “The technician was in the room on day one. He looked at my teeth, took reference photos, and asked me questions about what I wanted. He did not receive a written description of my teeth from a dentist. He saw them himself.”
The provisionals were placed on day two. The definitive E.max crowns were fitted and cemented on day five. Yvonne’s Zurich dentist assessed the work at her next check-up and described the marginal fit as excellent.
Yvonne’s account includes a detail she emphasises: “I asked the technician on day four, before cementation, whether there was anything he would change if he could. He mentioned one crown where the gingival translucency could be slightly deeper. He went back and adjusted it. That conversation would never happen with an external laboratory model. You would never even know what questions to ask.”
“I went to Tirana to fix my teeth. I came back having discovered that the standard of care at this clinic is higher than what I had experienced in Switzerland. That surprised me more than the price.”
Four implants in a jaw that
needed a sinus lift first
Robert’s case was more complex than most. He had significant bone loss in the upper jaw after years without back teeth, and his panoramic X-ray sent before travelling indicated that a sinus lift procedure would likely be required before implants could be placed in the posterior region.
Andent Clinic communicated this possibility clearly before he booked his flights. “They told me before I arrived that they would confirm on the 3D scan whether a sinus lift was necessary and what the adjusted cost would be if it was. They did not wait for me to sit in the chair to tell me.” The scan confirmed the sinus lift was needed on one side. The adjusted price was communicated before any treatment began.
Four MegaGen/Zenex/Alpha-Bio/JD implants placed over two surgical sessions across the week. Robert describes the communication as the standout aspect: ‘Every morning I was told what was happening that day and why. Every evening I was asked how I was feeling. I have had surgery in Sweden where I knew less about my own procedure than I did about each step of this treatment.”
Six months after returning to Stockholm, the final crowns were placed. Robert’s Swedish implantologist, who placed the crowns at home using the abutment references from the Andent clinical report, said the implant positions were well within optimal parameters.
“The complexity of my case was handled transparently from the first message. No surprises, no adjustments I had not been warned about. That level of honesty is unusual in any medical context, not just dental tourism.”
Patients from
across Europe and beyond
Andent Clinic has treated patients from over 20 countries since 2007. These are the eight countries with the highest patient representation, along with a direct quote from a patient in each group.
Why Western European patients choose Albania specifically
The combination of zero VAT on medical procedures, European-trained and certified clinicians, same-brand implants (industry-leading premium brands), direct flights from major European cities, and a well-developed dental tourism infrastructure makes Albania the destination that offers both the greatest cost saving and the closest clinical equivalence to Western European private dental care.
What patients consistently
say and what they do not expect
After 18 years and over 315 reviews, certain themes appear consistently. These are not cherry-picked positives. They reflect the genuine patterns in the full review record, including what surprised patients and what fell short of their expectations.
We include the imperfect
reviews because they matter more
A testimonials page with only glowing accounts is a marketing document, not a resource. These are real accounts from patients whose experience included something that did not go perfectly. How a clinic handles imperfect outcomes tells you more about it than any number of perfect ones.
The crown shade that needed adjusting
“Two of my four crowns came back from the laboratory with a slightly cooler tone than I expected when I held them against my natural teeth in daylight outside the clinic. I raised it before cementation and the team took both crowns back to the laboratory for adjustment. It delayed the process by half a day. The final result was correct. What I want other patients to know is that this is possible at any dental practice and the right thing to do is raise it before cementation, not after. The team did not push back or make me feel I was being difficult.”
The swelling that was not explained in advance
“I had All-on-4 surgery on my lower arch and the swelling on day three was significantly worse than I had anticipated. Clinically it was entirely normal. But I did not know that because the pre-operative briefing had not covered the day-by-day progression of post-surgical healing in enough detail. I messaged the clinic at 11pm and had a reply with detailed guidance within 40 minutes. The swelling resolved on schedule. My feedback is simply that the post-op reality should be described more explicitly before the patient travels. They have since told me they updated their pre-departure materials as a result of this feedback.”
Why we include these accounts: both patients gave four stars, not one. Both said they would return. The issues they describe are real, recognisable, and the kind of thing that happens in dental practices in any country. The difference is in how the issues were responded to. Dental tourism carries a perception of risk that stems partly from the assumption that problems will be ignored once the patient has gone home. These accounts describe the opposite experience. We publish them because they demonstrate something more important than a perfect outcome: they demonstrate what happens when things are not perfect.

What patients say about
their treatments at Andent
What 340+ reviews over 18 years actually tell you
A single five-star review tells you almost nothing. It might be genuine or it might be a favour. A hundred reviews gathered over two weeks might be a promotional push. But 315 reviews accumulated consistently across 18 years of continuous operation, with a distribution of ratings that includes the occasional three or four star, represent something qualitatively different. They represent the honest average of thousands of individual experiences.
The things that accumulate in reviews over that kind of timeframe are the things that actually matter to patients. Not the marble floors in the waiting room. Not the logo on the coffee cups. The things that matter are: did the treatment work as promised, was the price what was quoted, did someone answer when something felt wrong at 11pm, and could the patient’s dentist at home confirm the work was sound.
The patients on this page represent something that can only be built slowly. A patient who travels 2,000 miles for dental treatment, receives excellent care, returns home and refers a colleague is not a marketing outcome. It is the natural consequence of doing consistent work over a long period. Referrals make up a meaningful proportion of new patient enquiries at Andent Clinic. That proportion has grown, not contracted, over 18 years.
For patients considering dental tourism for the first time, the most useful thing to do with a testimonials page like this one is not to read the best reviews. It is to read the ones that are not perfect. Look at how the clinic describes handling those situations. Look at whether patients felt heard. Look at whether the outcomes were resolved. The answers to those questions will tell you far more about what you can expect than any collection of enthusiastic five-star endorsements.
